Costa Rica
The Pineapple Tour (2005 - †2006)
The members of Asoproagroin in Costa Rica used to offer the Pineapple Tour. During the tour visitors were able experience local life on the small scale plantations where they grow Fairtrade pineapples, partly even organic! They felt, smelled and tasted the sweetest "Queen of the Fruits". The plantations are situated close to the mountains, volcanoes and hotsprings in the Guanacaste province.
South Africa
The Orange Tour (2006 - †2009)
Zebediela Citrus Estate used to offer the Fairtrade Orange Tour. Members of the nearby Zebediela community showed the visitors around in their orchard and the packhouse and sorting areas, where they enjoyed the whole process from picking to packing. The local meal in the Zebediela gardens was also an unforgettable experience! Zebediela Estate is located in Limpopo province near Polokwane and can easily be visited on the northern route to the Kruger Park. The "Zemadi Guesthouse" was available for accommodation. Show movie
